APQP 3rd Edition
(Control Plan)
(Control Plan)

Course Summary
Automotive parts manufacturers apply the IATF 16949:2016 quality management system, which refers to the Core Tools: APQP & Control Plan, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC.
APQP covers production management from the first customer input to the end of production, so that products or services meet customer requirements and build confidence in the quality of what the organisation makes and delivers, with emphasis on quality, appropriate cost and on-time delivery. Product quality must therefore be planned systematically, linked to the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). One output of APQP is the Control Plan, used to control the process so that products conform to the relevant requirements and to the risks considered in FMEA.
Course objective
- Gain knowledge of advanced product quality planning and the production part approval process to the AIAG standard
- Understand the five phases of APQP
- Understand the changes from APQP 2nd Edition to APQP 3rd Edition
- Plan systematically and understand the roles of the team clearly
- Understand the documents of each phase and prepare them correctly
- Understand the PPAP process and how it links to APQP
- Enable the cross-functional team to understand how a Control Plan is developed
- Link process risks (PFMEA) to the Control Plan
