Control Plan AIAG 1st Edition Course
(Control Plan)

Control Plan AIAG 1st Edition Course
Principle and Rationale
Automotive parts manufacturers apply the IATF 16949:2016 quality management standard for the automotive industry, which refers to the Core Tools. These Core Tools consist of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC.
The Control Plan is one of the output documents of manufacturing process design. It was previously part of the APQP 2nd Edition manual; when APQP was developed into the 3rd Edition, the Control Plan was separated into its own 1st Edition manual, with clearer details that promote a better understanding of its use. Organizations should therefore understand these details, as well as the relationship with risk management in the FMEA.
This course has therefore been developed to build an in-depth understanding of the role of the Control Plan, its relationship with the FMEA, and its application in line with the requirements of IATF 16949:2016 in the current operating context of the automotive industry.
Course Objectives
- To gain knowledge of Control Plan management
- To be able to develop a Control Plan that is linked to the risks analysed in the FMEA
- To plan work systematically and clearly understand the roles and responsibilities of the team
- To understand the requirements for the Control Plan and be able to prepare it correctly
- To be able to use the Control Plan effectively
