Principle and Rationale

Metal plating is one of the special processes that are critical to the quality, corrosion resistance and performance of industrial parts, particularly in the automotive industry, which requires manufacturers in the supply chain to have an effective process control system that can be assessed systematically.

The CQI-11 Plating System Assessment standard sets out the approach for assessing the plating process system, so that the key factors of the process can be controlled appropriately, such as quality system management, floor and material handling, equipment, the job audit of the production process, and process control and test equipment.

This course is suitable for personnel involved in metal plating processes and quality control in industry, particularly those responsible for controlling and assessing production processes, such as Process Engineers, Quality Engineers and QA/QC staff, Internal Process Auditors, engineers or personnel responsible for quality systems based on automotive standards such as IATF 16949, as well as supervisors or production process controllers and personnel involved in plating processes who wish to understand the requirements and the assessment approach of CQI-11 and apply them effectively to control and improve processes in their organization.
