CQI-15 Welding System Assessment 2nd Edition Course

CQI-15 Welding System Assessment 2nd Edition Course
Principle and Rationale
The automotive industry places stringent quality requirements on parts manufacturers supplying OEM customers, including welding processes, which affect the strength, safety and reliability of the product. To build confidence in the quality of the manufacturing process, OEM customers and Tier 1 suppliers cooperated to define the approach and requirements for controlling processes in welding and assembly plants. These requirements focus on establishing a system for controlling and auditing both the process and the product, so that operations conform to industry standards, the risk of welding defects is reduced, and production efficiency in the automotive supply chain is supported.
This course has therefore been developed to build knowledge and understanding of welding systems, process monitoring and assessment, quality inspection and the management of the related documentation, so that participants can apply them to control and improve welding processes in their organization effectively.
Course Objectives
- To know the approach to assessing and auditing welding systems
- To understand the requirements for assessing and auditing welding systems
- To be able to apply the knowledge gained correctly
- To enable the organization to apply the welding system assessment effectively and efficiently
