Course Summary
ISO 9001:2026 and ISO 14001:2026 share a harmonised management system structure, so an organisation can integrate its quality and environmental processes in one management system while still meeting the specific requirements of each standard. The 2026 revisions bring points to consider such as quality culture and ethical behaviour, separate consideration of risks and opportunities, management of change, and the environmental context and life cycle of products and services.
This one-day course explains clauses 4–10 in a comparative and integrated way, identifying what can share one system and what must be controlled separately under the QMS/EMS requirements, with examples of documents and implementation evidence, and a gap-assessment activity to plan improvements to the existing system.
Course objective
- Understand the principles and requirements of ISO 9001:2026 and ISO 14001:2026 and the key points to review from the 2015 editions
- Distinguish the common IMS requirements from the quality- and environment-specific requirements in clauses 4–10
- Link organisational context, environmental aspects, compliance obligations, risks and opportunities to controls and indicators
- Define the approach to documents, evidence and an improvement plan for the integrated management system
