Course Summary
Organisations running an ISO 9001:2026 quality management system and an ISO 14001:2026 environmental management system need systematic internal audits that evaluate both conformity and process effectiveness, linking quality and environmental issues in real work processes, reducing duplicate audits while still covering the specific requirements of each standard.
ISO 19011:2026 is the guideline for auditing management systems, covering audit principles, managing the audit programme, conducting the audit and evaluating auditor competence, including remote auditing, virtual locations and the use of digital evidence where appropriate. ISO 19011 is a guideline, not criteria for certification.
The course "Integrated Internal Audit ISO 9001:2026 & ISO 14001:2026 (1 Day)" develops the skills to plan and conduct an integrated internal audit using ISO 9001:2026 and ISO 14001:2026 as audit criteria and applying ISO 19011:2026 — from the audit programme, audit plan and checklist, through evidence collection and writing findings, to follow-up — through case studies and workshops in one day.
Course objective
- Understand the internal audit approach and the role, impartiality, ethics and competence of auditors according to ISO 19011:2026
- Define audit objectives, scope and criteria and prepare an integrated audit plan / process-based checklist covering the common and specific requirements of ISO 9001:2026 and ISO 14001:2026
- Practise interviewing, observation, sampling, following the audit trail and evaluating quality, environmental and digital evidence appropriately
- Summarise audit findings, write nonconformity statements and the audit report, and explain the follow-up of correction, root cause, corrective action and verification of effectiveness
